On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the film Raiders of the lost ark, I have the pleasure to show you my Raiders 2.0 7ft long 24 plt to 12plt point 12 plt wrist loop ready to go to Germany soon with two other whips.
Here are some details about this style of whip.

At first look, this whip may seem like one of the many Raiders whips made by any skilled whipmaker.
Same diamond pattern on the handle, same herringbone pattern on the thong, same heel knot and loop at the wrist.
But things are not quite like that, with a closer inspection you will definitely perceive something different;
The RAIDERS WHIP 2.0 is a customisation of a raiders whip a new design, where each strand has been reduced by half and doubled at the same time.
For a stylistic and iconic choice only the two knots have remained unchanged.
24 plait overlays and 12 plait wrist loops.

"How to convert a souvenir whip into a real whip".
Hello All,
four years ago I had the opportunity to give new life to a whip of my customer, keeping the handle - the only decent element - and give new look and new colour to the revived bullwhip.
The internal structure was poorly taperd composed of a rope and a strip of cloth wrapped on the rope as bolster.
The braided overlay began at the end of the thong and the main part was braided into four plaits where each strand was splitted into three strands in order to finish the last part of the braid in 12 plt,
The cracker was sewn directly onto the initial body of the thong.
Finally, a simple flat strip of leather was attached to the handle as a wrist loop.
Keeping the handle intact, I rebuilt the entire internal structure with the classic construction of two plaited belly and two internal bolsters.
